For my potion of the group presentation, my goal was to extend the conversation beyond “pro-life” and “pro-choice”. The Abortion Debate is so complex, my role was to neutralize the discussion. I provided a more modern take on the debate by discussing the social aspects, such as feminism, racial and social inequalities. In addition, I also discussed modern medical advancements that allow for safer abortions. On the first slide I placed great emphasis on textual evidence.
